August ’14 Top 10
August has been a big month for music! With 3 episodes of Lava Lava through the month there’s been an absolute ton of fresh music from our mailboxes that we’ve been playing out.
We have been chilling out a fair bit for the past month but our latest Beatport top 10 certainly doesn’t seem to reflect this, with only one mellow track from the one and only Floating Points making the cut. In stark contrast there’s some absolutely massive tracks from Dusky, iO Sounds and Artifact blowing us away right now.
Suara‘s compilation album ‘Kitties Wanna Dance Vol 4‘ is sensational, so it was hard to pick out a favourite with 20 tracks from the likes of Dale Howard, Vanilla Ace & Matt.Joe but the Canadian/American collab between Jerome Robins & Zenbi takes the biscuit for us!
Making it to the number one spot in our list is taken from the brand new release on The Vinyl Factory from London-based producer Roisin Murphy. The remix of ‘In Sentesi‘ by the on-form British edit-duo Psychemagik just ticks all the boxes, a true standout track for August.
