LAVA LAVA Episode 52: Turbo Recordings

The first LAVALAVA of 2015 seen a special label focus dedicated to Tiga‘s Turbo Recordings. This label has had a huge influence on the worldwide scene and has a knack for finding talent that becomes household names and releasing tracks that soundtrack subcultures. Residents Barrientos & DVRS chronologically mix through the impressive discography of this imprint with a mammoth 13 track mix, including tracks from Duke Dumont, Azari & III, Julio Bashmore, Proxy and many more.

Of course, with the first Radio Show of 2015 came the first Resident’s Mix of 2015. What better way to showcase some of the hotly-tipped talents of 2015? We’re certan that this is going to be a big year for Doc Daneeka, Metodi Hristov & Brodanse. The festive holidays also gave the LAVALAVA boys time to work their way through their mailboxes with some of the most impressive promos making their way into the Mix, including cuts from A1 Bassline, Hernene, Oliver $ and John Daly.

Although it was a show of firsts, LAVALAVA 52 was the last time you’ll see the Top 5 featuring at the end of the show as it makes way for our excellent Guest Mix series. Making the cut one final time were some unbelievable tracks from Darius Syrossian, Bonobo and Konstantin Sibold while the Canadian producer Pomo stole the Number 1 spot with the melodic, disjointed and dreamy track Cloud Cruise.
