September ’14 Top 10

September has been a cracker of a month for new releases, making it a tough choice for our Top 10 definitive sounds of the month.

There’s a surprising amount of chilled out vibes on our list which can be attributed to the fresh cuts from Maya Jane Coles, Jaymo & Andy George and an incredible remix from Tim Engelhardt which came through on promo from Percep-tion Records.  Standing out from these mellow tracks are some works of brilliance from Just Kiddin, Robot 84 and a crazy up-beat remix courtesy of My Digital Enemy.

Making the grade to the top 3 however are some of the tracks that we just can’t stop dancing to.  The Universal Quantifier compilation has been one of our favourite LPs of September, with the massive techno groover ‘Bash’ by XXXY providing some extra juice to our sets.  In number 2 is another gritty tech groover in the form of a remix by Dephlex on SoSure Records.  Beating them all to the number 1 spot is another belter of a track from the Glasgow duo Those Beats released at the start of September on one of our favourite labels; Glasgow Underground.
