STREAM: Henri Le Blanc – House of Love

Midnight Riot has, over the years, become one of Britain’s biggest purveyors of house music with big disco and funk influences. For their next release they’ve managed to secure a 10-track EP from one of Adelaides best kept secrets (but not for long), Henri Le Blanc.

Having cut his teeth at the now legendary Blue Beat Records store, The Austrailian DJ & producer is riding high on the hype generated with his otherworldly deep vibes. Henri’s ‘House of L.O.V.E‘ EP is  a heavy dose of pure analogue house mixed with tribal undertones, warped electro & obscure 80s synths.

Citing influences wide & varied including Rick Wade, Max Graef, Detroit Swindle & Ugly Drums, Henri’s forthcoming EP is a mix of all these influences and more, making it pretty impossible to categorise!

With these sneak peaks of all 10 tracks you can hear for yourself the heavy use of jazzy samples alongside electronic boogies, glorious MPC funk and sexy drum mutations.  For us, we’re loving the old-school DJ Shadow style intro and we can’t stop grooving to the infectious and chunky bass of Jungle Juice.

Henri Le Blanc‘s ‘House of L.O.V.E’ really is an impressive collection of modern-day grooves with a big retrospective look back to the funk, disco and soul that soundtracked a generation.  Make sure you get a copy of this release when it drops on Midnight Riot later this month.
