A1 Bassline – Odd Soulz

A1 Bassline has been making us dance here at Lava Lava for the past 6 or so years.  What impresses us the most about this London-based producer is his turnaround from producing big cuts that soundtracked the electro & fidget house scene of 2010 to providing deep, mature and well-rounded house & electronic tracks.  This change over the past few years can be seen from his first remix on Domino through to some very notable releases on Dirtybird, Pets & FINA White.

Returning to FOOD Music this September, A1 Bassline has just dropped the single ‘Odd Soulz‘ and has his full 11-track ‘Technicality’ LP set for release in 2 weeks time.  The LP’s title is taken from the East London club night that was run by Chris Inperspective and had a huge influence on A1’s musical taste.

Odd Soulz‘ has an unrelenting energy and pace straight from the start.  The chest shaking kicks and rolling percussion lead perfectly into the huge vibey bassline.  Distorted and echoed synth licks during the breakdown give an extra depth to this otherwise peak time cut.

This single is, without doubt, the perfect teaser for A1’s excellent LP.  We’ve managed to have a preview of it already and we’re so excited to play out the gems from ‘Technicality’ over the coming weeks, including this single right here.

You can buy ‘Odd Soulz‘ right this very instant via this link, and we can’t recommend a more dancefloor-oriented LP this side of summer – so make sure you check A1 Bassline‘s full LP when it drops on FOOD Music on the 11th of September.
