Digitalism – Wolves

Ever since Digitalism played their Boiler Room set at Melt Festival 2013, everyone has been dying to get their mits on this track here.  Many digital bootlegs where made while the vinyl-only release was played out worldwide and it’s been a staple in their own DJ sets for almost a year now.  Only last month did the German duo decided to release this unshared gem electronically, including massive remixes from Riton, RAC and Booka Shade.

All three of the remixes on this package are sublime.  The dark and panicked bells in the Riton remix keep us dancing, the tech groover that is the Booka Shade remix is a blinder and RAC‘s remix has a great indie-dance summer soundtrack feel about it with it’s punchy kicks and use of the vocals from Youngblood Hawke.

If we were forced to single out one track from the bunch it would probably to be the original for the classic Digitalism vibes reminiscent of material from the first LP “Idealism”, the massive kicks that keep the energy flowing, the euphoric synth lines and of course those lovely vocals.

Ever since Digitalism played Boiler Room at 2013’s !Melt Festival the internet has been asking what this track might be. There have even been bootlegs made from the audio, but the version released on vinyl was the one that lit up dance floors from I Love Techno in Belgium to Genban in Tokyo, Output in New York and Razzmatazz in Barcelona. It’s been a staple in the Digitalism DJ set for almost a year and a unshared gem until now. This digital release of “Wolves” features an extended vocal version with excellent and diverse remixes from RAC, Riton, and Booka Shade – See more at: http://8dpromo.net/campaign/show/646/f5df2602-fd39-11e2-98cc-b53b066f182e#sthash.wuYLvrzr.dpuf
