Emanuel Satie – Your Body

The latest EP on DFTD from seriously talented up-and-comer Emanuel Satie defies house music’s sub-genre boundaries whilst retaining a peak time edge.  Having gained critical acclaim from some of the biggest mainstay’s of the house music scene like Pete Tong & Annie Mac, Berlin-based Satie has been on a roll this year.  So far he’s not only notched up releases on Moon Harbour, Gruuv, Defected In The House and numerous EP’s on Get Physical, Satie has went that step further and become Get Physical founder DJ T.‘s “go-to” studio partner.

Having listened to Satie’s 2-track ‘Your Body’ EP, we genuinely cannot wait to rinse both tracks as much as possible.  Whilst both ‘Farewell’ and ‘Your Body’ are very different in their approach, the outcome is still the same; a solid piece of house music that’s bound to go down a treat.

Farewell ventures into deep territory, with it’s muffled bass giving the feel of a track on Omar S’s FXHE Records, yet retains a tech edge from the looped vocals and sharp synths.  Our personal favourite is the undoubtably potent title track.  A real percussion-focussed record with a heavily distorted bass that plays perfectly with the subtle acid undertones.

You can get a copy of Emanuel Satie‘s ‘Your Body’ EP when it drops on DFTD on the 19th of October and make sure you follow this exciting producer on Soundcloud.
