Greg Sawyer makes a return to Bristol‘s Falk Recordings this month with his 3-track ‘Whenever I Try To Leave‘ EP. Taking time out from running his own imprint, Tenth Circle, and his sets at Glitterbox, Greg makes a huge statement with these beautifully cinematic deep house cuts.
With previous releases on Endemic Digital, i! Records and Indigo Raw, Greg has cultivated a uniquely individual production style that is highly musical and infused with harmony, depth and emotion. His latest release may not be so dancefloor-oriented as past tracks but is rather more of a journey through gorgeous, blissed out vibes from start to finish.
From the beautiful piano melodies of A Fading Glance, to the deep pulsing sequences and dreamy strings of Mayflies, rounding off with the sublimely dynamic and melancholic title-track Whenever I Try To Leave. We’re loving the closer on this release, a proper headphone track that you can just play, sit back, close your eyes and lose yourself.
