Tim Green – Eclipse

UK house and techno talent Tim Green, one of the main players at Cocoon Recordings, returns once again to the hugely influential label for a fifth time.  Tim’s been on a fine run of form in 2015 so far, having already won acclaim for his remix of M.A.N.D.Y on Get Physical and being featured on compilations on major labels such as My Favourite Robot, Body Music and City Life.

The London-based producer is a master of the typical Cocoon sound; his musical output is full of energy featuring colourful melodies and compelling grooves whilst retaining that dark and deep Cocoon techno sound.  His forthcoming ‘Eclipse‘ EP is a solid demonstration of this skillset.

With two tracks to choose from, our favourite here at Lava Lava is the the moody and broody title track.   The absolute definition of a slow burner, this track engages you straight from the outset with muffled melodies outlined by driving percussion.  Little tasters of the big electronic bass are dropped throughout the build up, giving a real energy to the track.  Cue the cloudy breakdown with little synth licks and the kick back in is an absolute blinder.

Tim Green‘s ‘Eclipse‘ EP is full of the perfect sounds for the summer’s open air festivals with its sentimental mood and on point groove that, put bluntly, just makes you wanna dance.  Make sure you get a copy of this when it drops on Cocoon Recordings via this link.
