De$ignated – Beyond The Above

It’s no surprise that the outskirts of London has been a breeding ground of rising underground talent for quite some time now.  With the resurgence of House music over the past ten years, the UK’s young producers have helped changed the tide of global electronic trends.  Alongside names like Disclosure and Bondax, De$ignated have steadily became one of Britain’s leading tastemakers.

Following the path of young producers with fresh sounds, De$ignated built a following on catchy dance floor remixes and quality-driven originals. Now three years into the project the two London-based artists have perfected their output into an evolved sound fit for today’s elegant but raw club climate.

This April see’s De$ignated join the ranks of Roger Sanchez’s evolving imprint Under The Radr.  For their first release of 2016 the boys don’t hold back in their ‘Above The Beyond’ EP, with three original House cuts that showcase late night sounds fit for big rooms and lowlights.

The title track kicks things off with a brooding, chest-shaking thump intertwined with tense vocals by PB Kaya to create a cosmic four on the floor groove. Next up, ‘Eternal Dance of Nothingness’ channels the groups Middle Eastern roots for a psychedelic trip. The industrial finisher fittingly titled ‘Flawless’ injects a Nina Kravitz vocal sample for a pumping techno tune that’s bound to be a warehouse heater.
