Maiians – Huracan (Night Talk Remix)

Oxford-based electronica group Maiians have recruited Swiss producer Night Talk for the remix duties on their debut album.  Released just last week, their self-titled album is another excellent release for the band, further cementing the critical acclaim they’ve been receiving since their first output in 2014.

Night Talk’s remix of ‘Huracan’ is part of the remix album that came out alongside the Maiian LP, but has also been made available on Night Talk’s impressive AYM imprint.  Founded back in 2013, the label has played host to artists such as Translucent, Human Life and Louisahhh as well as releases from the label boss himself.

In comparison to the fast and energetic original version of Huracan, Night Talk takes things deeper with a brooding and melting groove.  The chunky percussion eventually gives way to rich swooping synths and a hazy breadown with delicate vocals guaranteeing a dancefloor journey.

Maiian’s debut self-titled LP is available via bandcamp & Night Talk’s vibey remix of their track Huricana has just been released on his own AYM imprint.
