London-based producer Mosca returns to his Not So Much imprint this June with his 2-track Cedar Wood State EP. Founded in 2014 this marks only the 5th release for the label but with both tracks designed for club use only there’s no doubt this will be an in-demand release.
Mosca worked on two different versions of his Cedar Wood State using the Korg MS-20 mini analog synth. Apparently having being perfected after 8 months of teaking and editing, both contain fast flowing acid vibes and fluid sounds.
Of his Vector Mix, Mosca describes it as ‘an acidic, freeflowing thing – think of it as an extended analogue synth solo that starts off deranged and progresses from there. Precision engineering on this side’
The Volt Mix is both loopier and choppier, and Mosca ‘spins Battery Brain through a thousand outboard filters, delays and effects, melting Miami, Rio, a field just outside the M25 and The Bronx into modern day London’
Mosca’s ‘Cedar Wood State’ drops on Not So Much on 23rd May (vinyl) & 10th June (digital) 2016.
