Episode 55 of LAVA LAVA brings the heat as residents Barrientos & DVRS focus on the huge sounds of 50 Weapons. Label owners Modeselektor have released an uncountable amount of dub and techno gems via their imprint as well as defining the label as a source of electronic sounds that can rarely be categorised. This label focus is unlike any other. Join us as we take a dark and dubby journey through 50 Weapons with some soundsystem-destroying cuts from SBTRKT, Bambounou, FaltyDL, Doc Daneeka and Addison Groove.

Following up from the intense label focus the LAVA LAVA crew took things down a notch in the start of the Residents Mix. Kicking it all off is the absolutely stunning track from the Dutch electronic institution that is Vince Watson. Taking things up a gear the boys played out some of the jaw-dropping groovers that have landed in the mailbox recently, including exclusive tracks from Ralph Lawson, Jamie Jones and Sei A. The standout track however was the INSANE remix from Jade Blue on the label making some big waves right now; Love & Other.

Taking the reigns for the last half hour for the LAVALAVA Guest Mix series was Serbian producer Reblok. Having released on BEEF, Vintage, Monique Musique and Suara last year, Reblok is going from strength to strength. Make no mistake, the Serbian delivers the goods in a truly sick half hour mix.
