Leftwing & Kody – Wobble

27th February sees the dynamic & on-form British duo Leftwing & Kody release their debut EP on Mar-T’s celebrated label, Wow! Recordings.

Since their formation in 2012, Leftwing & Kody have quickly established themselves as one of the UK’s brightest exports, holding residencies at London’s Fabric and Ibiza’s Sankeys, as well as releasing on labels including Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations, Steve Lawler’s VIVa, Adam Beyer’s Truesoul.

As if that hasn’t been enough, the duo have also been busy managing their own imprint, Lost Records, since 2013.  Proudly positioning itself at the forefront of the future of dance music, the imprint has had a fine run of form clocking up releases from the likes of Yousef, Mat.Joe, Wade & Detlef.

Their first release of 2017, the ‘Wobble’ EP is a collection of three original tracks that each approach the Tech House genre from completely different angles.  Backed with a slow-burning remix from Italian DJ/Producer LEON, it’s a very strong kick-off to the year from this exciting duo.

The title track from the EP is a perfect example of the finely-honed sound of Leftwing & Kody.  Tribal-infused drums alongside layered percussion hits and warbling synths develop into a hypnotising groove.  The use of chopped vocals and heavily manipulated effects, especially after the first breakdown, give Wobble that sense of energy that can only be found at peak time on the dancefloor.

Set for release exclusively on Beatport for the 27th of February, the debut release from Leftwing & Kody on Wow! Recordings is destined to do the damage.
