Ronnie Spiteri, the man behind Kenja Records, is set to join the likes of Jey Kurmis, South Royston & Jame Moorfield as he releases his ‘Time To Go’ EP on Arkd Records.  Barely 8 months old, the Arkd imprint has already gained a reputation for no nonsense club ready tech house and their 6th release is no exception.

Southampton-based producer Ronnie Spiteri is no stranger to the scene having already clocked up releases for Do Not Sleep, Toolroom and his own Kenja imprint.  His debut EP for Arkd features two originals and two remixes from none other than Jhonsson and GruuvElement.

Title track ‘Time To Go’ leads the charge on the EP with a shifting groove and a full sub workout.  The tech house thumper features the classic trademarks of Ronnie’s recent work; swinging percussion, soft ambient sweeps, intense build-ups and an injection of energy & pace.  On the flip side “Re-con” follows suit with a laid back drum groove, massive bassline, resonant synths and a big lick of reverb in the breakdown for good measure.

First up on the remix front is fellow British talent Jhonsson.  After impressing with his work for MadTech, Toolroom and Knee Deep In Sound, he shows off a harmonising bassline, lovely vocal chops and a dynamic mix that seems perfect for radio, the car or the DJ booth.  The second remix comes from London duo GruuvElement as they bring unique drum grooves, ambient synths and a stripped back approach in the climax.

Set for release on Arkd Records on the 12th of August, Ronnie Spiteri’s ‘Time To Go’ EP is a huge serving of club ready energetic tech house that’s bound to do the damage no matter where it’s played out.
