STREAM: Artifact – Who Knew Her EP – MadTech

Bristol based DJ and producer Artifact has carved out quite the career over the past four years, gaining support from BBC Radio1’s B Traits, Rob Da Bank, Mista Jam and Mary Anne Hobbs amongst many others. The rising producer has been releasing via reputable imprints such as Local Action, Deadplate and Rebirth.

Having had tracks on 2 compilations as well as being on the remix duties for Kerri Chandler‘s hugely influential MadTech imprint, Mid-April will see the release of Artifact’s first full EP on MadTech.  The 3-track ‘Who Knew Her’ EP features two original cuts from Artifact and is also accompanied by a sublime remix from OFF Recordings‘ Dale Howard.

We’re loving the whole EP here at LAVALAVA, but the title cut has that special kind of energy that you know would absolutely smash any dancefloor.  The track itself kicks off with a chugging bass led groove which builds up with meandering synth stabs running alongside an amalgamation of looped and sequenced vocal cuts.  And the breakdowns?  Nothing short of epic.
