Gallery Sounds – 3 Minutes Squared

Spirit Wrestlers is the new imprint being launched by DiY Discs DJ, Pete Woosh (one half of Digs & Woosh).  The label is a continuation of the sound heard on the infamous Strictly4Groovers and DiY Discs label’s Woosh is notably known for working with.  This May will see the debut release on Spirit Wrestlers – a four track various artists package entitled ‘The Sound Of The Spirit Wrestlers Sampler’, featuring cuts from PJ Principle, Jericho Park and Gallery Sounds.

We’re loving the vibe on this first release, especially the off- kilter synth fuelled closing track from Gallery Sounds (Pete Woosh & Andy Riley of Inland Knights); ‘”3 Minutes Squared”.  This track intricately layers synth melodies, rumbling sub bass and guitar samples to great effect, resulting in an intelligent, hypnotic piece of ear candy.
