Mike Brankis – Way U Move

Chicago-based DJ & producer Mike Brankis may be a new addition to The Pool House imprint, but he’s certainly no newcomer to the American house scene.  His 6-track ‘Minds Eye‘ EP is his first release after spending many years following the ups and downs of Chicago’s musical landscape.

The Pool House started life as an event put on by a group of friends, wanting to embrace the music Chicago gave birth too. They then went on to host the best of local and international talent until their growing success drove them to start The Pool House imprint.  Built on the same framework of their parties, they strive to discover fresh talent & act as a spring board for their future careers.

Mike shows his experience by offering up a wide range of electronic sounds, with a focus on a particularly deep side.  The standout track for us at Lava Lava is ‘Way U Move‘, a real deep and fizzing track with haunting echoed vocals that give an essence of a proper old-school Trax release.  We can’t wait to rinse this bad boy out.
