STREAM: ANOTR – ‘Strobe’ EP

ANOTR is a brand new project from established Dutch producers Jesse van der Heijden and Oguzhan Guney.  With plenty of experience in their bag seperately, the duo make their DFTD debut in October with the three track ‘Strobe EP‘.

Kicking off the release, and making one hell of a statement, is the title track ‘Strobe‘. The powerful and soulful looped vocal works perfectly with the piercing piano on the breakdown to create an absolutely thumping tech roller.

‘Stop The Music’ rips forward through its punchy drum layers and cheeky vocal stabs while the pad hits and synth licks give out something of a classic 90’s vibe similair to Kenny Dope or Roger Sanchez.

Rounding it all of is quite possibly our favourite; ‘Passin Me By’.  The vocal sample from The Pharcyde gives this absolute tech weapon a completely different feeling.  Teamed up in the breakdown with whizzing ambience and powerful snares, make no mistake if this were dropped in a club then it would take a man of steel to not lose it.
